Talisman of Equality

Description

This work of creating a Talisman is a pure wonder. Our ability to move energy through our hands and consecrate our creations with our intentions for the benefit of both the creator and the beloved receiving it is a gift we humans are blessed with. This Talisman was a gift from my ancestors with wisdom encoded both by my DNA and personal Codex handed down by my bloodline and by my direct contact with an ancestor during a visioning I embarked on as part of the process of it’s creating.

This lightweight sculpture is created from air dry paper clay. It is 14″ tall and 1/2″ in width. Hand-painted in a rich mix of nickel azo gold, burnt umber, and paynes grey. The marking represent wisdom, black equality, and transformation, and support and witness by ancestors and community.
